TOWN MEETING

Town Meeting is always held on the first Tuesday of March. The Meeting is held at the Berlin Elementary School starting at 10AM. The voting also starts at 10AM and is open until 7PM.

A Pre-Town Meeting to discuss Australian Ballot items is held at the Berlin Elementary School at 7:00PM on the night before Town Meeting.

The Town Clerk’s Office is open until 5PM the day before Town Meeting for absentee balloting. Absentee Ballots can be requested by calling the Town Clerk’s Office at 229-9298.

Ballots are available for 30 days prior to Town Meeting Day. Voters can come into the office to vote or can request that a ballot be sent to them. Ballots can be mailed to the registered voter only and can be picked up at the Town Clerks office by only the registered voter.

A person must have registered to vote in Berlin prior to 5PM on Wednesday prior to Town Meeting in order to vote on Town Meeting Day. If a person will be turning 18 between Wednesday and Town Meeting Tuesday, they should register prior to the Wednesday date.
