Jones Brook Road Culvert Replacement, Monday, Sept. 20th – Wednesday, Sept. 22nd, 7am – 4pm. While they will try to have one lane open for traffic, there could be waits of 15 – 20 minutes.  This is at 700 Jones Brook Road and includes all traffic, pedestrians, and bicycles.

The Vermont Technical College Apple Orchard in Randolph Center hours are Saturdays and Sundays 9am-4pm.  Bring your own containers and pick-your-own half-bushel $12 (a 5 gal bucket = ½ bushel), $8 for VTC faculty, staff, students, and alumni. Masks required.

Liberty Orchard in Brookfield opens Thursday, September 23rd at 1pm.  Hours will be 1-5pm Monday through Thursday and 10am – 5pm Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.  Wear a mask if not vaccinated, use our hand sanitizer as you enter, practice safe distancing, pick only in our new reusable bags, choose with your eyes and handle only the fruit you pick, sorry no dogs or other pets in Orchards, you may sample but keep your cores, if you or a member of your household are not feeling well or having any COVID-19 related symptoms PLEASE STAY HOME.  Price continues at $12 half bushel, $5 for 4lbs of Honey Crisp.  Cash or check, no cards.  http://www.libertyorchardvt.net

The Central Vermont Solid Waste Management District is holding it’s final household hazardous waste collection for 2021 in Montpelier on Saturday, September 25 from 9am-1pm. The collection will be held at the Vermont Dept of Labor at 5 Green Mountain Drive in Montpelier.  Be prepared to wait in line.
