The Central Vermont Rotary Club donated 2,000 masks to our school district.
*Remember, skating is an option here next to the town office, only the studio rink is open, not the hockey rink and the warming hut is locked due to COVID 19. Masks are required at all times as is social distancing. If the ice is somewhat crowded, leave and return at a later time. Outdoor pole lights are still available. Have fun and be safe.
*There will not be an in person Town Meeting this year, postcards were mailed to registered voters with this information and for people to return to request an absentee ballot or call us to do so
229-9298. Absentee ballots should start going out the first week of February. Town Reports are expected to be available starting February 11th. In-person voting will take place on Tuesday, March 2nd, however, we encourage you to vote by absentee ballot and drop it off or mail it to us – all absentee ballots must be received before the polls close on March 2nd.
*The Town Clerk’s office has been taking appointments for research in the vault. Most transactions for the Clerk’s office can take place at the pass through window inside the front door or by phone / email / or mail.
*Monday, January 18th the Town Clerk’s office is closed, however, the other offices are open.
*Monday, January 18th Berlin Selectboard meets 7pm via teleconference
Note all Town meetings are by Zoom with an option to phone in. Details can be found on the meeting agendas posted on the Town website and on the message board in front of the Town offices.
*Wednesday, January 20th the Washington Central UUSD School Board meets 6pm – 9pm via video/phone conference, the agenda which includes information for participating via video or phone and the board packet can be found at: Meeting Resources / Board Meeting Resources
Monday, January 25th 3:30pm is the deadline to submit the consent form to the Town Clerk to have your name on the ballot for a seat on the school board or selectboard or as moderator. No petition with names is necessary this year because of the pandemic
It’s time to license your dogs –if done on or before April 1st the fee is $9 for spayed / neutered dogs and $13 if they’re not. This can be done at the Town Clerk’s window or through the mail – we need to have a current rabies certificate on file and if it’s the first time they’re being licensed, if they’re spayed or neutered, a certificate saying so. Please call with questions. 229-9298.
