Many of you will be happy to hear that Crosstown Road is now open.

*The school board meets Thurs, May 16th 7pm in the conference room at school regarding their property.

*The Selectboard meets Thursday, May 16th 7pm at the Town office. This includes a presentation regarding the Exit 6 ledge removal project at 7:30pm by VTrans & construction representatives.

Agendas & Minutes:

*Saturday May 18th is the Drop-By Silent Auction & Bottle Drive at Berlin Elementary School in the gymnasium!  Drop-By and look at the items up for auction, make a bid, and come back later to pick it up & pay if you’re the highest bidder. Make your bids from 10am to 2pm.  Pick up & pay 2:30pm to 5pm. There are gift certificates & gift cards from local businesses, kid’s items, and handmade items from local crafters.  Bring your empty cans and bottles to donate 10am-3pm.  All of this benefits the school’s playground fund to get a fenced in area for preschool, and something new for the bigger kids to replace the play structure that was taken down last year.

*Saturday May 18th is the Opening Day Extravaganza at the Vermont Granite Museum 10am -4pm -pedal car races 10-2, outdoor family activities – bocce ball, horseshoes, corn hole, bolo palma, and croquet, and you can make your own sculpture.  Food available from Mo’s Backyard BBQ and a ice cream bar with Wayside Ice Cream and toppings from Capital Candy! *Montpelier Touch A Truck – open to all Sunday, May 19 11am-2:30 pm at the Montpelier High School Track.   Admission $3 child -$3, $4 adult or $10 for the family.

*Voting on the members for the new WCUUSD board is Tuesday, May 21st 8am–7pm at the Town office. This is to elect members to the new school district board. Absentee ballots are available at the Town Clerk’s office

*On Wednesday, May 22nd there will be Memorial Day Observances at Berlin Elementary School 1:45pm

*Planning Commission meets Wednesday, May 22nd 7pm at the Town offices.

*The Town offices will be closed on Monday, May 27th.

*May 30th 4th – 6th grade concert at Berlin Elementary 6pm.  Also LEGO art produced by all Berlin students that can be seen before or after the concert and viewed all day May 31st until 6:30pm.
