Tonight, January 10th 6:30pm the Berlin Emergency Mgmt Team meets at the fire station.

January 10th 7pm at the Town office the Selectboard has a public hearing on the new Zoning Regulations.

*Monday, January 14th the Public Works Board meets 7pm at the Town office.

*The special meeting for January 14th to organize the new supervisory union is postponed, it is currently expected to take place in mid February, stay tuned.

*The Development Review Board will not meet January 15th.

Minutes are available for the January 2nd DRB meeting regarding the plan for senior housing next to the Berlin Mall that is being developed.  Minutes are at the Town Clerk’s office and are available on the Town website.

*The Selectboard meets Thursday, January 17th 7pm at the Town office.

*There will be four school board positions and three selectboard positions to be voted on Town Meeting.  Please consider one of these important positions in our town. Petitions to have your name on the ballot are due Monday, January 28th by 5pm with 20 valid signatures (1% of the checklist, currently 1,935 therefore, 20 voters) To sign a petition a person must be a registered voter here in Berlin. Contact or stop by the Town Clerk’s office (229-9298  townclerk@berlinvt.org) to pick up a blank petition or to make sure the correct wording is being used.

*Sgt. Bassette was on the Channel 5 news January 8th regarding his continued efforts to assist folks who are down on their luck.  Sg. Bassette asks that people do NOT try to bring supplies directly to those in encampments and such but you can certainly make a donation of blankets, gift cards, etc. to the PD for them to disperse.
