Saturday, September 23rd from 2-6pm there is a Spaghetti Dinner fundraiser for Berlin resident Tammy Surprise at the American Legion in Northfield.  For more information call 485-7926*

Fresh Tracks Farm Vineyard & Winery will have their 6th annual Harvestival & Grape Stomp on Saturday, September 23rd 1pm – 8pm.  It’s a day of family fun with free admission and there will be food and beverages along with crafts available to purchase. Call 223-1151 for details.*

Chappelle’s Pick-your-own potatoes event in Williamstown, is on Sunday, September 24th 9am – 5pm  Potatoes just 35 cents per pound, bring sacks, crates, or totes to gather them in.  The digger gets them up onto the ground surface and you pick the ones you want.*

The Public Works Board meets Monday, September 25th 7pm at the Town office.*

The Planning Commission meets Wednesday, September 27th 6:30pm at the Town office.*

Also on September 27th the Berlin Elementary School Board meets at U-32 High School.  At 6pm the Supervisory Union Meeting will take place first and then individual boards will meet.  The agenda includes whether to put a new membrane over the elementary school roof with money remaining from the school renovation bond.*

The WCSU Act 46 committee will be sending out a postcard regarding an Act 46 survey.  People will be able to either go to an on-line link to complete the survey, or call a phone number to request a paper copy.  They’re hoping many people will weigh in on this important topic.*

September is preparedness month – the Vermont Alert system allows you to receive weather, transportation, or other incident updates via text, email, or phone.  You can select the areas for which you want to receive alerts and how you’ll receive them.  The easiest way to sign up is at www.vtalert.gov or if you don’t have a computer call 1-800-347-0488.  Also at this phone number you can request a copy of the Family Emergency Preparedness Workbook be mailed to you at no charge.*

Upcoming items to note – Selectboard meets Monday, October 2nd 7pm, Development Review Board meets Tuesday, October 3rd 7pm, Board of Civil Authority meets Wednesday, October 4th 6pm, and on Monday, October 9th the Town offices will be closed.*
