The Conservation Commission is grateful to Walmart  for donating four 19' tall Liberty Elm trees to our town this August.  The trees were all planted on Thursday September 20 with the generous help of the Berlin road crew and members of the Conservation Commission under the supervision of  Dave Wilcox who is a Berlin resident and a district urban forester for the State of Vermont.

If you are interested in watching these Dutch elm disease resistant trees grow, three have been planted at the Berlin Elementary School ( the two small trees pictured below at the entrance and one at the SW corner of the school) and one at the Berlin Four Corners cemetery at the end of the northern entrance.
