Every
family and business should have a plan in case of an
emergency. This should include how you will contact each
other, where you should meet, and what items you will need
for water, food, warmth and medications. For a free kit on
how to prepare visit:

Would you like to help the
town in the event of an emergency or disaster? Berlin
Emergency Management is looking to expand our team to
prepare our emergency plans and staff the emergency
operations center in the event of an emergency. We are
looking for strong individuals with experience in
operations, planning, finance and especially logistics.
Emergency management experience is not necessarily, just
a willingness to serve your town and help your
neighbors. The time commitment is up to you, from
reviewing plans via email, to working in the EOC during
an emergency. If you would like to volunteer, please
contact Ture Nelson at
ture.nelson@dot.gov.
The Berlin Emergency Management Team
has started an email group to better keep you informed on
emergency situations and dangers facing the town. To join
this list click on

and click on “Join this group” in the right hand column.
